Kalshi settlement rules and sources, 2026

Each row is a Kalshi contract series with one of its settlement sources, or an open Kalshi market with full settlement rules, from Kalshi's public trading interface. About 12,300 series and 6,000 open markets, updated every 6 hours.

Coverage

• Window: a fresh snapshot of current listings every 6 hours since 10 September 2026, in UTC. Closed markets drop out at the next refresh.
• Series table: one row per series and settlement-source address, about 40,000 rows over 12,260 series in 20 Kalshi categories.
• Market rules table: one row per open market, about 6,000 in 700 events.
• Join: series_ticker links each market to its series; all 75 market series are in the series table.
• Which markets: every open market in 75 series. 64 were in Kalshi's top 40 by 24-hour volume or open interest on 10 September 2026. The other 11 cover the consumer price index, payrolls, GDP, the federal funds rate and daily highs in seven US cities.
• Providers: the series name 1,843 addresses on 1,128 websites. 1,313 series name Reuters, the Associated Press, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times together.
• Most-named sites: espn.com in 2,627 sports series, billboard.com in 373 entertainment, bls.gov in 194 economics, cfbenchmarks.com in 185 crypto and weather.com in 94 weather. Kalshi's own site appears in 1,513 series.

Columns

Series table, series_settlement_sources:

• series_ticker, title, category, frequency — the series, its Kalshi category and how often new markets are listed.
• settlement_source_url, settlement_source_names — one address Kalshi settles the series on, and Kalshi's names for that address.
• fee_type, fee_multiplier — how Kalshi charges trades.
• contract_url, contract_terms_url — the product certification filed with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), and the contract terms.
• last_updated_at — when Kalshi last changed the series.

Market rules table, market_rules:

• market_ticker, event_ticker, series_ticker — the market, its event and its series.
• title, yes_sub_title, no_sub_title, subtitle — the question and what each side is on.
• rules_primary, rules_secondary, early_close_condition — the rule in one sentence, up to 4,600 characters of detail, and when a market can end early.
• strike_type, floor_strike, cap_strike, market_type — how the outcome is compared with the strike, in the series' own unit; every market is binary.
• can_close_early, settlement_timer_seconds — whether a market may close early, and the settlement delay in seconds, usually 60 or 300.
• open_time, close_time, expected_expiration_time, expiration_time, latest_expiration_time, occurrence_at — when a market opens, closes, expires and takes place.

Missing values

A null means Kalshi left the field out. At the 11 September 2026 snapshot, 59% of markets had no strike, 86% no subtitle, 21% no early_close_condition, 17% no occurrence_at and 3% no rules_secondary. In the series table, 25 addresses have no name and 34 rows no contract_url. Seven legacy series name no settlement source and are absent. About 1,730 untagged series in five large categories are absent, because those categories are fetched tag by tag.
